John’s first film, One Night in May, received a Banff Rockie Award nomination for Best Sports Documentary. His second film, Hillsborough Remembered for History, became the channel’s most-watched documentary ever. John’s first feature documentary, Rock ‘N’ Roll Exposed, was hailed by Rolling Stone as “one of the hottest films at SXSW” where it had its world premiere before airing on SHOWTIME. Since launching Touchdown, John has continued to direct and produce many hours of critically acclaimed, high-rating films and series for the BBC, National Geographic, Sky, Discovery, and more. John started his career as part of the development team behind two BAFTA-shortlisted films: the RTS-nominated Muhammad Ali: Through the Eyes of the World and Christopher Reeve: Courageous Steps, which was nominated for a Primetime Emmy.
