Touchdown founder John Osborne is a filmmaker and producer who has spent over two decades making hugely successful primetime television in the UK and US. As a director, John’s first film One Night in May won a Banff World Television Award nomination for Best Sports Documentary. His second film, Hillsborough Remembered for History, became the channel’s most watched documentary. Since then, John has been responsible for many hours of high-profile television including the feature documentary Rock ‘N’ Roll Exposed for SHOWTIME, hailed by Rolling Stone as “one of the hottest films at SXSW” and The Story of Skinhead for the BBC, described as “a thoughtful, troubling film” by Radio Times and “fascinating” by The Guardian. John started his career working in development, as part of the team behind two BAFTA-shortlisted films: the RTS-nominated Muhammad Ali: Through the Eyes of the World and Christopher Reeve: Courageous Steps, which was nominated for a Primetime Emmy.
