Touchdown Films has built a reputation for outstanding factual storytelling, from feature documentaries to long-running series.

Our 2024 projects include the BBC2 film Kurt Cobain: Moments That Shook Music, a visceral all-archive documentary that demystifies the death of the Nirvana frontman, using rare and unseen footage captured by those who were there. 

Other productions include the landmark twelve-part series Photos That Changed the World for Sky History, retelling the past century through the eye of a camera lens; the first-ever global BritBox Original The Wedding of the Century, a feature documentary with unseen and restored archive that was hailed a “visual spectacular” by the Radio Times; the documentary special Apollo 8: The Mission That Changed the World, airing to critical acclaim on Discovery in the UK and US and National Geographic in the rest of the world; the ten-part series Artist to Icon, exploring the lives of stars such as Madonna, Robin Williams and Whitney Houston for Ovation in the US; and Born to be King, a film told exclusively through unique access to a treasure trove of archive, offering a vivid portrait of Britain’s new monarch for Sky.
